Saudi Arabia announces new visa policy for Pakistan

Saudi Arabia Implements New Visa Policy for Pakistan

Saudi Arabia has announced a revised visa policy affecting 14 countries, including Pakistan, effective February 1, 2025. The new policy replaces the previous multiple-entry visit visas (valid for one year) with single-entry visas, valid for 30 days with a maximum stay of 30 days per visit. This change applies to tourism, business, and family visits.

The Saudi government cited efforts to prevent illegal Hajj pilgrimages as the reason for the shift. Previously, some individuals were using the multiple-entry visas to circumvent official Hajj quotas.

Applicants from the affected countries—Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sudan, Tunisia, and Yemen—must now apply for and obtain single-entry visas and submit biometrics at Etimad visa centers.

This announcement comes as Saudi Arabia opened registration for domestic pilgrims for the Hajj 2025 pilgrimage via the Nusuk app and e-portal, prioritizing those who have not previously performed the Hajj.
