‘Harbinger of Progress’: COAS Gen Munir, Punjab CM Launch Green Pakistan Initiative in Cholistan

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen. Asim Munir and Punjab Chief Minister launched the Green Pakistan Initiative in Cholistan, aiming to promote afforestation, environmental sustainability, and community engagement in one of the country’s most arid regions.

Officials stated that the project will involve large-scale tree plantation drives, water conservation efforts, and awareness campaigns to encourage local participation. The initiative is designed to combat desertification, improve soil fertility, and create livelihood opportunities for rural communities.

COAS Gen.
