Sindh to Ensure Teachers’ Attendance Through Mobile Application

The Sindh government has announced a new initiative to monitor teachers’ attendance in public schools using a mobile application. The move aims to improve accountability, reduce absenteeism, and enhance the quality of education in government-run institutions across the province.

According to officials from the Education Department, the mobile app will allow school administrators and parents to track teachers’ presence in real time. Teachers will be required to log in daily, and any irregularities will be automatically flagged for follow-up. The system is expected to increase transparency and ensure that students receive consistent instruction.

Authorities highlighted that the app will be integrated with existing school management systems and include features such as attendance reports, notifications, and performance tracking. Training sessions will be conducted for teachers and administrators to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of the technology.

Education experts have welcomed the initiative, stating that leveraging digital tools can significantly improve governance in the education sector. They emphasized, however, that technical support and proper monitoring will be crucial to the program’s success.

The Sindh government said that this step is part of a broader reform agenda to modernize public education, strengthen accountability, and provide quality learning experiences to students across the province.
